Giddy Up! It's a Visit to Texas....

This week I had to head down to Texas for a business meeting. Can't say it was the best meeting that I've ever attended, but it was certainly HOT enough--105 degrees in the shade...in the evening. Whew! I'd like to say I melted off a few pounds, but that's never how these meetings go for me. Sitting in a cold conference room all day long with nothing to do but drink enough caffine and eat enough sugar to keep my head from hitting the table with a loud thud.

I was lucky enough this time to be traveling with one of my favorite work buddies, Lori. She's always a blast to travel with. One of those really upbeat, nice people. Since we had a late meeting, we wound up staying the night and flying back the next morning (and yes, we did have to check all of our liquids, pastes, and gels). We were able to get out a bit and have dinner with a couple of other work buddies. We went to this really good place called the Hacienda Ranch--home of the frozen Margarita Machine. It was kind of fun--saddle bar stools and very rustic. As you can see from the picture, Lori and I took advantage of the atmosphere to get our Texan pictures. We practically look like natives, don't we? To look TRULY native, we need to be riding the mechanical bull. Maybe next time.
